How
is a pendulum used with Craniosacral Therapy? Health
in Motion incorporates the use of a pendulum in the
craniosacral therapy session to confirm findings about
the client's condition. When a condition is suspected,
the pendulum is placed over the client, and according
to the direction in which it moves, the energy can be
determined to be harmonious (clockwise) or inharmonious
(counterclockwise or side to side). The intensity of
the movement reveals the rate of energetic charge. With
this knowledge, the practitioner can apply techniques
that will dissipate any inharmonious energy and create
balance.
What
are the materials used in making a pendulum? Pendulums
are made out of a variety of materials, including wood,
precious and semi-precious metals and stones, or any
combination of these materials. Any simple item hanging
from a chain or thin line can be effective. The shape
of the item can be round, pointed, octagonal, or teardrop.
Blanca Noel uses a pendulum made from Moroccan amber.
The key to success when using a pendulum is not the
material itself, but the sensitivity and knowledge employed
by the practitioner.
