How
are the bowls used during the session?
Toward
the end of the session, bowls are placed in various
locations on or around the body. The bowls are struck
at intervals determined by the needs of the client.
Tonalities vary from client to client because each individual
is a unique "sounding board" who resonates
differently than anyone else. The sounds from the bowls
change from session to session according to the physical,
mental, and spiritual changes that have taken place
in the client.
What are the benefits of the Tibetan Healing Bowls?
When the sound waves produced by the Tibetan Healing
Bowls were recorded, patterns equivalent to the brain's
Alpha waves were discovered. (Alpha waves are present
in the state that is achieved during meditation.) The
sound vibrations from the bowls are instrumental in
transporting the client into a deep state of relaxation
during a session. The result is decreased tension related
to fatigue, pain, anguish, depression, fear, anxiety,
mental trauma, and general malaise. The sound from the
bowls also has a musical quality, promoting a sense
of well being and joy. The Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat
Khan stated, "Music not only gives people strength
but can also transport them to ecstasy."
Do the Tibetan Healing Bowls interfere with Craniosacral
Therapy? The bowls actually enhance the craniosacral
work and are an effective tool in further balancing
and centering the client's energy level achieved during
the session. The gentle, soothing sounds integrate balance
at all levels of body, mind, and soul.
